When they find each other again, Dean is going to be so relieved and Cas is just going to stop and breathe because he has done nothing since his fall but look for Dean - get to Dean, get home, it’ll all be okay if I can just get home. And Cas just might collapse from the sheer exhaustion of it all. Dean just holds him though, whispering, “I got you. It’s okay. You’re okay.” And Cas clings back, so Dean holds on tighter and doesn’t let go, even when they are back in the bunker and safe, because even after Cas calms down, Dean is still silently freaking out. “I thought I might have really lost you this time.” So Cas kisses Dean’s temple and the side of his cheek and promises, “Never.”
